Research governance

Research integrity and computational methods.

Computational and AI-assisted tools operate inside human-directed research, drafting, analysis, and production workflows. They do not become authors, owners, canonical authorities, amendment authorities, or institutional decision-makers.

Research principles

Human direction and accountability remain controlling.

These principles govern computational and AI-assisted tools in research, drafting, analysis, and production involving Polycentric Ventures’ foundational IP. Human authors define the questions, control source selection, evaluate evidence, approve claims, maintain the canonical record, and accept responsibility for released work. Tool use does not transfer authorship, ownership, amendment authority, or institutional decision rights. Disclosure should be specific when tool use materially affects reproducibility, interpretation, or evaluation.

Working principles

Controls that remain visible across the workflow.

  • Human-governed questions and claimsHuman authors define research questions and approve any released claim.
  • Source verification and provenanceSource selection, relevance, authority, and provenance remain subject to human review.
  • Versioned outputs and correction historyMaterial outputs should preserve status, version, review, correction, and supersession paths.
  • Visible method and evidence statusTool assistance never substitutes for disclosing material method, evidence, and limitation facts.
  • No AI institutional decision-makerNo AI system receives authorship, ownership, amendment authority, or reserved decisions.
  • No public chatbot on the parent IP siteThis informational website does not expose an AI interface or simulate institutional authority.

Criticism + conduct

Evidence-based criticism is research engagement.

Good-faith criticism, correction evidence, methodological questions, and reproducibility concerns are welcome. Abuse, threats, intimidation, repetitive harassment, and attempts to extract private information are not research engagement.

Corrections + methods

Identify the record, evidence, and method at issue.

The Corrections page explains how to identify the record and supporting evidence.
